FAQ

Common pre-release questions.

Is firearm data stored online?

No. Digital Gun Vault is designed around local encrypted `.dgv` vault files rather than a hosted firearm database.

Can I export my inventory?

Preview builds include PDF and Excel export workflows. Exports are plaintext files and should be handled as sensitive documents.

Can I track NFA items?

Yes. The app includes user-maintained fields and views for NFA firearms, suppressors, suppressor hosts, and related paperwork.

Is the app publicly released?

Not broadly yet. Windows and macOS builds are in pre-release validation while documentation and launch assets are prepared.
